Finding a lack of information and support， he organised communities to confront one of the world’s most prevalent and life-threatening， viruses. Twenty years later， he is Chief Executive of the Hepatitis C Trust and President of the World Hepatitis Alliance， both of which advise governments on spreading awareness and increasing access to care.
